Project Overview


TY LIN INTERNATIONAL (TYLI) is providing engineering services to design the improvements to Radio Road from US 441 to just south of Treadway School Road, approximately 1½ miles. The existing roadway has two travel lanes with un-paved shoulders within approximately 80-foot wide right-of-way. This meeting will consist of an open house and followed by a brief presentation. After the presentation, staff will be available to address stakeholder questions. A four lane undivided roadway with curb and gutters is proposed between US 441 and Shademoor Drive. A divided two lane roadway with curb and gutters, one lane in each direction separated by a raised grassed median is proposed from Shademoor Drive to south of Treadway School Road. Median openings at cross streets will provide access to the roadway in either direction. The County anticipates the need to acquire additional right way in specific areas along the entire corridor where the right of way is currently less than 80’ in width. Right of way for water retention areas will be acquired next to the roadway.
