Public Involvement

This public involvement page together with the rest of the web site has been developed to keep you informed during the Radio Road Final Engineering Design. Coordination will occur with local governments, permitting agencies, and the public during the study process. Newsletters will be mailed periodically to elected and appointed officials, property owners, interested persons and media. The Public Involvement Plan (PIP), which is used to identify potential social and economic effects of the project, established pro-active public outreach programs that will be maintained through completion of the study and to incorporate input from the elected/appointed officials, residents, governmental agencies, business owners, and interested persons into the improvement design process. The PIP identifies the following opportunities for those interested in the project to gather information and to be involved in the project:

 

Public INFORMATION Meeting (Preliminary plans)

Lake County held a Public Meeting on September 25, 2007 at 6:00 pm , andl presented several alignment alternatives for the Radio Road corridor. The purpose of the meeting was to describe the progress of the study to date and to solicit public input concerning the alternatives developed for the project. The results of the meeting will be used, along with all information developed during the study, to analyze the alternatives and to identify the preferred alternative.

Scheduled to start at 6:00 pm, but doors were open at 5:30 pm when participants started to arrive.

County Commission Preferred Alternative Meeting

The County  staff will hold this meeting in January, 2008 to present the preferred alignment to the County Commission and to afford interested persons the opportunity to express their views concerning the alternative. Aerial photographs, conceptual improvement plans and project related information will be on display for public review throughout the meeting.
